Project
Description
Bee Alive is an educational open-world game concept that raises awareness about the importance of bees and their role in sustaining ecosystems. As part of the creative team, I worked on the visual concept and artistic development of the game, helping shape the world, characters, and overall visual experience.
The game places the player in the role of a bee navigating through different environments that reflect real-world ecological challenges. Players move through three distinct worlds—urban areas, monoculture landscapes, and flourishing natural habitats—while completing tasks that help the hive survive.
My work focused on concept development and visual design, including the creation of the game character, environmental ideas, and the visual direction of the open world. The design supports the narrative of environmental decline and recovery, guiding players from difficult landscapes toward a thriving ecosystem full of flowers and biodiversity.
Through interactive tasks such as collecting nectar, gathering water, feeding drones, building honeycombs, and responding to urgent threats like pesticides, the game encourages players to understand the fragile balance of nature.
This project combines game design, environmental storytelling, and visual world-building to communicate an ecological message in an engaging and playful way.
